Pleasantville 5K Run/Walk for Education - Saturday, May 18, 2019


All ages and skill levels are welcome for the CSF Annual 5K Run/Walk.   Attention Middle Schoolers - Join a relay team!  Contact Pleasantville Middle School's Betsy Hill for more information.

Early Bird Discount Ends May 10th. Register now before the price increase!

Until May 10th, entry fees are: $30 for the 5k (for the relay, $15 per runner) and $15 for the FunRun. 

After May 10th, entry fees increase to $35 for the 5k (for the relay, $20 per runner) and $20 for the FunRun.


Information about the 2018 One Mile FunRun

Kids and adults of all ages who want to keep the distance short, can enjoy a 1 mile run winding up from Washington Avenue to Manville Road, then onto Great Oak and finishing up on Washington Avenue.  The 1 mile FunRun starts at 8:30 and the 5k starts at 9:00.  Be sure you're on time to participate.  Registration for the Fun Run is available online via ChronoTrack (see link below).


  • FunRun course includes a water station and music played all along the course
  • FunRun runners will have real running bibs and will be timed just like the 5k
  • Prizes for all FunRun runners
  • National Anthem performed between races by members of the Middle School's 7th and 8th grade Select Chorus
  • Prizes for top 3 male and female runners in 9 different age group categories

 


Information about the 5k Middle School Relay - Each member of the three member team will run one-third of the race (approximately one mile each).  Check-in for the Relay is on Washington Avenue in front of Anytime Fitness.  EVERY Team Member must be fully registered and present at the Check-in by 8:30am.  Team Member #1 from each team will start the race with the rest of the 5k participants. Team Members #2 and #3 from each team will be brought to their respective starting points with Team Member #1 handing off his/her baton to Team Member #2 at approximately mile 1 and the Team Member #2 handing off his/her baton to Team Member #3 at approximately mile 2.  Team Member #3 will be wearing that respective team's chipped timing bib and running the final one-third of the race to cross the finish line.


Check-in for the 5k and the One Mile FunRun is adjacent to the Firehouse on Washington Avenue south of Edgewood Avenue.  Check-in for the Relay is on Washington Avenue in front of Anytime Fitness.
